I am a graduate student in the Biomolecular Engineering program at the University of California at Santa Cruz (UCSC) and am working under Kevin Karplus on protein model quality assessment and protein design. After receiving a bachelors from Virginia Tech with a major in computer science and minors in mathematics and biology, I worked almost two years at the Greenwood Genetic Center, a non-profit dedicated to treating and identifying genetic causes of mental retardation and other conditions.
